Milan is the next stop for Brazilian leather at European trade fairs

The next edition of Lineapelle, taking place from September 15 to 17 in Milan, will mark the 108th edition of the event. This longevity reflects the strength of the exhibition and the recognition it has earned among a loyal audience from the design and fashion industries, who attend in search of materials for the development of footwear, handbags and accessories collections. Among the approximately 1,000 exhibitors, visitors will also have the opportunity to discover Brazilian leather.

Six individual exhibitors from the Brazilian leather industry will take part in the event with the support of Brazilian Leather, an export promotion project carried out by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

Running alongside Lineapelle will be Simac Tanning Tech, a trade fair dedicated to machinery, technology and innovation for the industry. The events follow other major exhibitions within the fashion supply chain, creating valuable synergies of interests, business opportunities and contacts for all audiences in the same venue — the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre.

Lineapelle exhibitors come from nearly 40 different countries. It is no coincidence that the event brings together such a significant critical mass of the global tanning industry. In Italy alone, the tanning sector generates approximately €4.2 billion in annual revenue, with 67% of this value coming from exports — making the country the undisputed global leader, according to the local tanning industry association.

With its strong ability to attract visitors from across Europe, Lineapelle, together with Simac Tanning Tech, is an essential event for professionals throughout the leather supply chain.
