Get to know the CICB

The Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) carries out the Brazilian Leather project in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). CICB is the entity that represents the companies that produce leather in Brazil. Since 1957 – the year of our foundation – we have sought growth, qualification, strengthening and unity in the sector. Our driving force is sustainability, through which we operate in:

• Technology projects and training of new professionals
• Dialogue with the government, interfacing industry agendas with public authorities
• Trade promotion of leather and defense of interests
• Building reputation and promoting the image of national leather worldwide
• Technical qualification, design and research and market information
• Institutional representation, and dialogue with the production chain
• We are members of the Executive Committee and Council of the International Council of Tanners (world association of leather producing countries)
