Leather: projection of US$7.5 million for four companies after Lineapelle, in Milan

Brazilian tanneries project a business revenue of US$7.5 million for the upcoming year

The 102nd edition of the Lineapelle fair, which took place in Milan, Italy, between the 19th and 21st of September, was highly celebrated: there was a 25% increase in the number of visitors compared to the equivalent event in 2022. In conjunction with the technology fair Simac Tanning Tech, the total audience reached 28 thousand people, from 109 countries. For the four exhibiting Brazilian tanneries, these numbers resulted in a business projection of US$7.5 million for the next 12 months.

Buyers especially from Italy, but also from China, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and the United States, were the main visitors to the Brazilian spaces at Lineapelle. The Brazilian Leather project had an individual stand, where it shared content about the entire Brazilian industry, with a focus on the sustainability of the sector, through the Brazilian Leather Sustainability Certification (CSCB).

In the technical sphere, the mission with members of the CICB, at the invitation of ITA (Italian Trade Agency, an Italian government body, linked to business promotion) and Assomac (the Italian association of technology manufacturers for footwear, leather and tanning). The group reported the exchange of professional experiences with colleagues from all over the world and knowledge about the newest technologies for the sector as some of the great attributes of the trip.
