CICB Sustainability Forum to Take Place at Fimec in 2027

For the fifth consecutive year, the CICB Sustainability Forum will be held during Fimec – International Fair of Leather, Chemicals, Components, Machinery and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries. In 2027, the fair will take place from March 9 to 11 in Novo Hamburgo, with the CICB Forum scheduled for the second day of the event, March 10, in the afternoon.

Promoting innovation, knowledge exchange, and business opportunities, the partnership between the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (organizer of the Forum) and Fenac (organizer of Fimec) was officially renewed in the presence of José Fernando Bello, CICB’s Executive President; Rogério Cunha, CICB’s Commercial Intelligence Manager; and Marlos Schmidt, Interim CEO of Fenac.

As highlighted by Bello, the Forum is widely recognized across the production chain as a key platform for discussing topics related to productivity and the future of the sector, aligned with Fimec’s values. “Our partnership has proven to be an effective model for integrating content and business, generating positive impacts for tanneries, as well as their clients and suppliers,” he stated.

Schmidt emphasized that Fenac is pleased to once again host the CICB Sustainability Forum as part of the Fimec program. “This partnership strengthens the fair as an environment that brings together business, knowledge, and debate, contributing to the development of the production chain and to building a sector increasingly prepared for future challenges,” he noted.

More information about the CICB Sustainability Forum 2027 — including the central theme, program, and registration — will be released throughout the year via the official channels of CICB and Fimec.
