Preview do Couro, Inspiramais - January 2025

With the theme Human, the Preview do Couro showcase will be presented at Inspiramais

The combination of art, trends, and extensive technical expertise brings life to the Preview do Couro showcase, which will soon be presented at Inspiramais in Porto Alegre on January 21 and 22, with the central theme of Human. This is a collection of innovative leathers, produced with exceptional attention to detail, offering insights into the directions fashion is heading for the upcoming seasons. Participate in Inspiramais (featuring various activities and a commercial showcase of materials from over 150 suppliers) at the Fiergs Event Center by registering for free here.

Inspiramais is promoted by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB), the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear, and Artifacts (Assintecal), the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (Abit), the Brazilian Furniture Industry Association (Abimóvel), and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). It is carried out through sectoral projects led by ApexBrasil in partnership with these entities. Sectoral projects include Brazilian Leather, Tex Brasil, Brazilian Furniture, and Brazilian Materials.

As highlighted by project coordinator Marnei Carminatti, for the 2026_II season, the Preview do Couro embraces the Human theme, with the word hope as its central axis. “In times of global crises and uncertainties about the future, hope emerges as a vital force, indispensable for reconnecting us with what makes us human: the sense of community and the ability to transform,” he explains. The work developed for this edition of the Preview is guided by two main axes: Community (leathers designed for comfort and movement, emphasizing the tactile and welcoming relationship of the materials) and Utopia (leathers that inspire fun and creativity, exploring the sensory richness of textures).

According to Marnei, the project reaffirms its commitment to innovation and the appreciation of leather as an essential material capable of reflecting the needs and aspirations of a constantly changing world. All the work is aligned with ESG principles, encouraging sustainable practices, valuing transparency, and promoting a balance between economic progress, environmental respect, and positive social impact.
